FROMM Australia recently installed an orbital wrapping machine with twin wrapping heads. Our client needed a wrapping machine and reliable packaging film that could wrap products quickly, protect the products during transit and ultimately reduce the number of packaged goods available inventory.
Our client is a manufacturer of aluminium extrusions, has experienced a recent increase in demand, putting pressure on the logistics & distribution side of their business. Their packaging process was a completely manual operation, requiring significant human interaction on the production floor. FROMM Australia reviewed their entire packaging process, taking into account human error and safety risks, with a view to automate the wrapping and strapping processes.
Our client is a manufacturer of fencing and wire products and required a turn key wrapping solution for unstable wire bundles on pallets. Wrapping and palletising wire bundles can cause major safety concerns when wrapping by hand, with many sharp edges & pieces of wire for employees to injure themselves on. In order to reduce these safety concerns, our customer wanted to eliminate human interaction within the packaging process.
Our customer is a manufacturer of steel cans used for food products, such as baby formula, and process high quantities of 3m high pallets. With rising demand around the world for Australian canned foods (particularly in China as a result of the baby formula shortage) our customer needed to update their existing packaging line to cope with the increase in orders.
Our customer, a leading manufacturer of paint, had two process lines feeding out onto a single pick up point where the tins or drums of paint were removed by forklift and taken to a wrapping area prior to transport. Due to its location pallets of paint had already shifted prior to being wrapped and the customer was experiencing claims and excess returns.

Cold store distribution is generally a large-scale operation and is particularly labor intensive & difficult to automate. Fromm Australia designed and installed an in-line automatic stretch wrapping system complete with pallet dispenser, separate re-work infeed, staging area, pallet wrapping machine, conveyor lowering (for walkie truck access) and safety systems to category three standards.
Our client is a manufacturer of bottled water and processes high quality bottled water in a demanding beverage market. A stretch wrapping machine was required to under wrap the pallet for load security, whilst keeping up production demands. FROMM Australia were asked to install the system at short notice when a suitable down time window opened.
Our customer distributes high quantities of fibreboard to a number of remote centres around Australia, as well as customer specific orders which can vary in size & shape. Our customer had a number of specific requirements for their packaging line, such as early morning and late afternoon peaks in activity.
