Pallet Wrapping System for Milk Distribution Warehouse
We were contacted by an OEM to engineer a pallet wrapping solution for crates of milk.The customer wanted to stretch wrap up to 50 pallets for milk per hour coming out of their processing, and then transitioning into cold storage after wrapping. The process was further restricted with height limitations on the building. FROMM had to design a wrapping system that could fit within strict height guidelines.
FROMM Packaging Solution
FROMM engineered a turntable style wrapping machine with two carriages. This gave the customer height clearance and met the production throughput requirements. A photo eye to accommodate "black " crates was needed and the film wipe cut off ensured the wrapped product couldn't come undone. In this instance FROMM provided all the process conveyors and working closely with The OEM we were able to achieve the customer goals of 80% automation, resulting in a much higher product throughput and decreased the amount of human errors and WH&S claims.
