FROMM relocates and expands automated strapping line for Pact Group

3PL Warehouse

In 2025, FROMM completed a significant project at Pact Group's newly established facility, showcasing our expertise in automated strapping solutions. The venture involved relocating and upgrading an existing strapping line to fit the new, purpose built premises.

Originally installed in 2020 at Pact's Blacktown facility in New South Wales, the automated system efficiently applied a top cardboard layer and secured pallets of empty bottles with two straps for safe transport. All operations including pallet loading and unloading via forklifts were safely conducted behind a protective safety cell.

With Pact's transition to their new facility, FROMM was once again entrusted with the task of reconfiguring the strapping line to match the new layout.

The project scope included:

  1. Relocating and expanding the existing strapping line.
  2. Upgrading safety systems to align with new standards.
  3. Adding conveyor sections to improve product flow.
  4. Mirroring the line layout - reversing the product flow, which required:
    • Relocating the cardboard sheet dispenser
    • Reconfiguring the conveyor orientation
    • Adjusting control systems for better accessibility

The outcome is a modern strapping line that perfectly aligns with Pact's requirements, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and optimal performance.

Special recognition goes to David Frost of Pact Group, and our FROMM service team, led by National Project Manager Costa Rokkas and NSW Service Team Leader Ashley Fenton, for their exceptional dedication and expertise in bringing this project to fruition.
