Kokoda Youth Foundation

FROMM Packaging Australia was thrilled to sponsor and support Service Manager Tim Schiemer and his team as they prepared to tackle the Kokoda Challenge in the Gold Coast Hinterland. This formidable endurance event is not just about testing physical limits; its about raising crucial funds for the Kokoda Youth Foundation, a cause that resonated deeply with the spirit of community and resilience. 

The Kokoda challenge is renowned as Australia's toughest team endurance event, demanding participants to cover a challenging 96 km course. It's not just a standard trail run or charity walk, its about experiencing in glimpse of what Aussie heroes endured while defending our country in 1942 Kokoda Track. Participants must navigate rugged terrain, cross rivers, and conquer steel hills, all for a great cause. 

Support for this even is critical, as it directly benefits the Kokoda Youth Foundation. Founded in 2004 by Doug and Anna Henderson, the foundation is dedicated to empowering young Australians through programs that instil the values exemplified on the Kokoda Track. These programs aim to build resilience, confidence, and a sense of community among young people, encouraging them to become active and informed citizens. 

Through experiential learning, the Kokoda Youth Foundation equips Australia with the tools they need to thrive and contribute positively to society. Importantly, the foundation operates without government funding, relying on the generosity of sponsors and donors. 

FROMM Packaging Australia and its staff have generously contributed $1,000 to Tim's team and the foundation. Such donation are vital in ensuring the continuation of the foundation's life changing youth programs, which have been making a difference for two decades.
