How to Assemble a FROMM Mobile PET Strap Dispenser

If you have recently purchased a FROMM mobile PET strap dispenser, this video provides a simple step-by-step guide to assembling it correctly before first use. 

The FROMM Mobile PET Strap Dispenser is designed to keep your strapping roll, strapping tool and accessories together in one convenient mobile workstation. Correct assembly ensures the dispenser operates smoothly, keeps the strapping under control and allows you to move easily around your warehouse or production facility.

How do you assemble a FROMM Mobile PET Strap Dispenser

The short instructional video walks you through the complete assembly process, following the below steps:

• Attach the spring to the frame (refer to the video)
• Extend the bolt using an 8 mm Allen Key. Ensure it comes out over the metal strap guide
• Tighten the nut on the bolt. This will act as a brake on the strap coil
• Wind the front cover small black wheel off the frame
• Remove the collar (refer video)
• Place the inner metal disc on. Ensure it is facing the same direction as video
• Secure in place using the 4 black bolts. Tighten using a 5 mm Allen key
• Place the outer metal disc and front cover black wheel on the frame. Tighten black wheel loosely for now

Attaching the tool tray

1. Remove the black rubber stoppers from the top of the rear frame
2. Place tool tray on top of the frame. Ensure tool tray is overhanging the wheels, not over the strap coil
3. Secure in place using the 4 bolts. Flat washer on 1 side, spring washer on the other side
4. Tighten with a 10 mm spanner

To load a roll of strap

1. Remove the small black cover and outer metal disc cover
2. Place the roll of strap on the inner frame (see video)
3. Replace outer metal disc cover, ensuring it pushes into the inner cardboard coil of the strap roll
4. Replace small black cover wheel and tighten
5. Feed end of strap through the strap guide (see video)
